Somewhere between the chaos of a film set and the art of storytelling,
I found my place.
Dear reader, my name is Sean Harvas, I grew up in a small town on the water in the Bay Area but have called Los Angeles home for some time now. My love for filmmaking started early—I dabbled as a child in acting, quickly picked up the basics, and soon realized I preferred being behind the scenes. Which led me to study screenwriting, and eventually, production design.
Moving to Los Angeles in 2021 was rough as the pandemic terminated or postponed most productions, but I found comfort in other film lovers and film workers who were going through similar times. As in-person work resumed, I landed PA gigs and fell in love with the art department on nearly every project. They welcomed me with arms that felt like home, thus I knew that I had to reflect on my future and what I was to do. I knew a career change would be challenging, but I wanted it. I wanted to be a Production Designer in the art department. And since then, I have never looked back.
